Final weekend in the warm and light

There has been a slight hiatus in news posts recently but don't let that fool you! Behind the scenes have been a swathe of final preparations, testing, media commitments and farewells with friends and family. Today, the final blue transit barrel which will later become one of our supply depots laid on the expedition is to be filled and then sealed, ready to fly. Before we fly on Monday, there will be time for the final check, a big meal (even bigger than normal) and last thing, a major hair cut. It's all going in fact. Even though hair can aid insulation a little, this is counteracted by the obvious effects of not being able to regularly clean it. It's much neater and fresher feeling to start with not a lot and then rely on excellent hats and head protection

Stay tuned on Twitter for regular updates and on here for our final preparation news!
